Information About Liposuction Plastic Surgery
During liposuction, general anesthesia will be used.
During the liposuction procedure, Dr. Faires inserts the cannula (the tube that removes that fat) into the skin via small incisions. The cannula sucks out the layer of fat in the trouble area. When done, Dr. Faires will move onto the next area for treatment.
Limitations to the Liposuction Procedure
Although very rare, there are some risks associated with liposuction. Risks are more often associated with operations in which a larger amount of fat is being removed. Complications can include infection, blood clot formation or fat clot formation, fluid loss, damage to skin, and burning.
